Experimental Hall U-150-II
|
U-115
|
The lightest ion accelerator U-150-II is a cyclotron of the classical type.
Main characteristics of U-150-II:
Type of accelerated particles, charge | Energy Range, MeV | Internal beam current, μA | The extracted beam current, μA |
protons H1+ | 8 - 22 | ≤1000 | ≤4 |
deuterons, + | 10 - 20 | ≤150 | ≤2 |
ions 3Не++ | 20 - 40 | ≤150 | ≤2 |
alpha particles, 4Не++ | 25 - 50 | ≤200 | ≤3 |
In 1991, on the basis of the U-150-II telecommunications device, the Scientific Production Enterprise "TEZLATGIC" was established, which now produces not only radioisotope products, including radionuclide So-57, but also exports them abroad.
Using the U-150-II cyclotron beams, a number of studies in the field of fundamental and applied sciences have been performed:
- in basic nuclear physics - to learn more about nuclear structure and mechanisms of nuclear reactions in the study of nuclear reactions;
- radiation material science - Study of the change in the state of various materials under the influence of high-energy charged particles, rapid neutrons and gamma radiation currents;
- In the field of nuclear radiochemistry, radiobiology and medicine - Treatment of radionuclides (including Co-57, Ga-68, Pd-103) used in various fields where radionuclides are needed, including in the manufacturing industry, instrumentation, production of labeled compounds, diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide preparations. development of methods
